We'll probably forget this thread exists by next summer, but I've already learned these two items about Hypericon 6:

- The dates are June 4--6, 2010

- The Guest of Honor is Ramsey Campbell, according to a Tweet from Alethea

Cool, I never really expected to ever meet him. I haven't read anything by him in ages, but I've got a few books it'll be cool to get signed.

I'm still hoping they'll get Dan Simmons one of these years. &, of course, Robert McCammon.

Brian Cooksey (co-chairman of Hypericon) also confirmed that Campbell is the GoH in 2010.

Is it just me or does Hypericon 2010 sound like a Science Fiction movie?

Wow! Ramsey Campbell! That's a big surprise. Looks like Fred is calling in the heavy-weights every year.

Looks like there's a good chance I won't be making it next year. We're planning a two week vacation to Florida... starting on Hypericon weekend. Disney World one week and the beach the next.

I need to save or for World Horror 2011!

Next year I have a convention (letter carrier) in Anaheim so it will be Disneyland for me.
(and I will get to see my sis too who lives in Carlsbad)

I visited Disneyland twice and Universal Studios once when I attended Anaheim conventions in the '80s and '90s.  Good times!

Sorry to hear you won't be at Hypericon, Ron, but Disney World is a good reason to miss it!  I'm taking my family to Disney World in October....

Huge bummer to hear you won't be attending Hypericon 6, Ron, but I know how it goes.

Now then, when are we gonna see your pics from Hypericon 5?

I've been busy on various projects since Hypericon 5, so I've sort of forgotten about the photo feature. I'll try to get one up and going on the website here by the end of the week.

Good news! We're planning on leaving for our Florida trip that Saturday night (to avoid traffic and cranky kids) so I'll be at Hypericon on Friday and half a day Saturday. Probably won't do any Friday night panels or readings, since I'll be driving in and out instead of staying at the hotel. But I'll have a signing or two probably. Should have plenty of Hell Hollow and other books by then (I hope!)

Looks like Mr. Hickerson is going to be hired again next year by a certain Mr. Johnson!
