This audio-collection, released by Spine-Tingling Press, includes five of
Kelly's most horrific tales from his early small press days.
It includes:
"Yea, Though I Drive" --- There's a massacre in progress on I-53.
Don't pick up any hitchhikers.
"Miss Abigail's Delicate Condition" --- Abigail is plagued with
physical ailments, but that doesn't seem to keep her from attracting snakes.
"The Cistern" --- The town has sealed up the old cistern and maybe
for a very good reason.
"Black Harvest" --- A beautiful young woman at the harvest festival
wants more than a dance... much more.
"Papa's Exile" --- Never again will drunken Papa upset the
household.
This collection was released on stereo audio-cassette and features 3-D
sound effects. Dark Dixie garnered much critical acclaim and was
included on the nominating ballot of the 1992 Grammy Awards for Best
Spoken Word or Non-Musical Album.
